Must Haves...Dorset Table Top Magnifier Lamp

This is a wonderful little lamp from http://www.craftlite.net/! It has a weighted base, and plugs in to regular wall outlet. You can see on the arm bends halfway up for adjustment. Then, where the lens meets the arm... THAT is a heavy-duty ball joint, so the lens swivels and turns *just how you want!* See the little flip-up lens cover? It stores safely in a sunny room, stays clean, and can't get scratched (by kitties or the cleaning lady) because the lens is covered when not in use. 4-Inch lens, 3-diopter magnification, with little 5X mag area.

Soie d'alger Silk Thread...

Today I began work on a new project..."Flying Colors" (Lessons on Linen, Volume II) by Just Nan.  I've never worked with Soie d'alger silks before so I'm really looking forward to it.  The feel of thread is heavenly.

This is my most recent project:  "Lost Spirits" from Birds of a Feather.  I believe the pattern is currently discontinued.

Happy Birthday Nancy!

This was stitched for my leader at work.  It was a couple days late but I hope she liked it just the same.  The pattern is called "ABC Lessons" from Lizzie Kate.
