"Toccata Number One" Sampler on Linen

Before I started sampler this I didn't know what a Toccata was.
Funny how my daughter knew what it was since she plays the piano.  Toccata (from Italian toccare, "to touch") is a virtuoso piece of music typically for a keyboard or plucked string instrument featuring fast-moving, lightly fingered or otherwise virtuosic passages or sections, with or without imitative or fugal interludes, generally emphasizing the dexterity of the performer's fingers.  It was definitely a fun sampler to stitch and I may stitch the others in the series. The design is from www.drawnthread.com. I still need to wash and press it...wrinkles, wrinkles, go away.
